A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

A lighthearted 2D platformer about the meaningless of existence.

“Peppered” is a heavily narrative-driven 2D platforming game. It aims at subverting well-known gaming tropes to tell a story about the existential struggles of everyday life. Responsibility, consequences, comforting lies we tell ourselves. That weird sensation of feeling like a bystander of your own life, and then suddenly remembering a funny dick joke.

In a world where nobody ever dies, the God of Death is on the verge of breaking free and about to cast doom on everyone. Luckily, life presents you with an opportunity to take this matter into your own hands. And then presents you with countless ways to fail spectacularly.

  • Platformer game that feels like a TV show (that has a lot of jumping)
  • Characters, character arcs, drama, conflict and twists.
  • Choices that affect the characters and plot.
  • Quirky world with existential real-life themes.
  • Lots of endings (the demo already has two)
  • Secrets to discover!
  • Really dumb puzzles and minigames.
  • Regret.
